my mom got my niece a kitten unforunately her little brother was to rough with kitty so now I have her. Well its day one and I already love her but I live in an apartment that we are not allowed to have pets in. What can I do so that she doesnt meow as much while i am here or at work?

Cats usually spend most of their day sleeping. So you may not have to worry. Just make sure the kitten has many different types of toys to play with so she doesn't get bored.

Cats meow. Why'd you bring it to your apartment if they're not allowed? You can try giving her lots of toys to distract her while you're gone, and leaving the radio or tv on will not only make her more comfortable but also cover up the noise she makes. But really, the best thing to do is find an apartment where pets are allowed or find a new home for her before you're even more attached.

seriously, find a place that will alow animals, or find a friend or a family member that will be able to take the kitten, not worth getting evicted for having a pet and not fair to have the kitten live under those conditions of never being able to look out a window or live in a crate in the closet etc.
