The human imagination .
Mankind has been worshiping GODS for Tens of thousands of years .Science has ALWAYS disproven them .
It is just mans quest for immortality and fear of death that drives this need .
No one still worships Ra or Zeus or Mars do they ?

Salam (Peace)!
Say He is God, the One, the Only
God, the Eternal, the Absolute
He begetteth not, neither is He begotten
And none is comparable unto Him (Qur'an)
Nobody created God and God did not create Himself. He was always there! Just like how before 1, there is no number, before God there is nothing. Suppose, something or someone created God? Then wouldn't we be worshipping what created God cause then we would say there is something Greater than Him? No we don't because there is none GREATER than Him!
I hope you understand, inshallah (God Willing)
Take care!

Ouch, nasty question, but one I had thought about. I think He has just always been there and who or what caused Him to exist is not a question we can ask or will never know.
By the way, judging by your last question I'll presume you are a Christian and as a fellow Christian will ask you to try and ignore everyone who will answer that God does not exist etc etc.
God will always answer your prayers if you have truly given your heart to Him and really want the best in life. Though of course, things would not work if you prayed for a cure to cancer and an end to world poverty etc.
Don't concentrate on these little picky questions about God, just concentrate on learning more about Him and living for Him and everyone else that you know and love. Good luck and God bless you.

kalam argument precludes the theist from special pleading for the existence of an uncaused God:
1. From nothing, nothing comes.
2. Therefore, if nothing existed in the past, nothing would exist now.
3. Whatever begins to exist has a cause of its existence.
4. If the universe began to exist, then the universe has a cause of its existence.
5. The universe began to exist.
6. Therefore, the universe has a cause of its existence.
7. An actual infinity cannot exist.
8. An infinite regress of cause and effect would be an actual infinity.
9. Therefore, something must always have existed that is the cause of all other things.
are u happy now?

God has always been, He has no father nor mother, nor beginning nor ending, he has always been, he is the Father of all things that great eternal spirit, If we try to figure this out & try to put a beginning on God, then you will be without answer. If you think he started back 10 billion years ago, then I can take you back to 11 billion years ago, so this question of trying to figure God's beginning, you can not comprehend it in your mind. God has always been.

No one made Him. The Scriptures call Him the Rock of Ages, the alpha and omega, the first and the last.He has always been, and always will be, alive. He created what we know as time when He first created His Sons, and the physical universe. Time is nothing to God. He does set time tables for certain events to happen, because that is all that we can comprehend. We cannot comprehend Him fully because we cannot comprehend eternity.

God has no beginning or end, because He has always existed. As the Bible says, "Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God" (Psalm 90:2).
