i think that maybe because when we're sleeping, we're not aware of the slight irritations that cause us to sneeze, and if we ever do BECOME aware, it wakes us up anyway and THEN we sneeze. (i like this question! haha)

There is no way to really KNOW if we sneeze while sleeping. The best way to find out if we do or not is to either video tape yourself sleeping while your sick to see if you sneeze. Or you could try and have someone stay up all night and watch the other person sleep to see if we sneeze while sleeping. Also it would be best to do this a couple times not just once. B/C you might not have the sniffles and wont sneeze that particular night.

Actually I woke up sneezing. I assume the sneeze started when I was asleep.

you do sneeze in your sleep. I sleep-walk, and have woken up sneezing before.

cuz we'll be too deep in sleep that we cant feel our nose tickling... i dunno...
