You can't be over 6'3" in the US fighter squads as you will break both legs if you eject. Commercial doesn't have any restrictions but I am 6'2" and getting into the office of most small commercial jets kills your back and knees. Not a comfortable job for tall people.

The military has pretty strict height requirements, as the seats in fighter jets are nor normally adjustable, so the pilot must fit the airplane as it was built. However in the civilian world, the general rule is: If you can perform the duties, you can do the job. A friend of mine is a dwarf, and is only 4'6" tall. He currently flies a CRJ for Mesa Airlines. His height has not been any sort of handicap in his aviation career. I also have another friend that is 6'7" and also flies the CRJ, albeit for Sky West. Basically, the cockpits on these aircraft are so completely adjustable that anyone can fly these aircraft. The seats move, the pedals move, everything moves so that height is not really too much of a concern.

For fighter pilots:

If you are shortlisted, you will need to go through shortlisting tests on your ability to perform under pressure. Then you will be required to go through a medical check where they will ask you to sit down with legs stretch out in front of you and check your height.

I guess taking an additional module does not qualify you as a better candidate. I think your height is quite short. I think the minimum height is around 163cm.

In Asia, the minimum height for a pilot is 158 cms. Seems to be pretty much the norm for all the companies I have flown for.

Physics and maths will help immensely.
