I'm with the ADD folks on this one. Takes a lot of effort, but it can be dealt with.

Surfing is in the nature of the mind: basically trying to find the best for locking on, afraid that the best may be missed otherwise! You can do concentration exercise to hold the mind. Pathanjali is the Indian Master (Heritage lit) who gave us insight into mind's working and some meditation techniques. Among the latest Guru's on this is, Eckhart Tolle. (there are quite a few!) Thank you for agitating my mind with your question!

that's what education is for: to teach the mind to concentrate for longer and longer periods of time on a given problem.
