We have a crow that we rescued when he fell out of his nest, he is now 10 years old and although he gets a bit tatty in the summer he seems perfectly well. Just wondered how long they normally live? We have him free in our 60ft workshop, so he's quite happy.

In the wild, between 5-10 years. In captivity, the longest lived crow was documented at 30 years. The difference is attributed to predation. So people who gave an answer between 10-20 might also be right if their locale doesn't have a large number of predators.

I read a story about a crow who was a pet who lived for about 15 years but I think that crows in the wild don't live but about 5 years or less.

Crows! very inventive, often mischievous, bad reputation, they can exist between 5-10 years. I bet the farmers would love to see the back of them.

As long as he's going to live I guess! He would live longer than a crow in the wild though - less stress and all that.
