God Created Satan

Only rarely does a mental/emotional imbalance have a direct spiritual origin. Either can be the source: God, as a form of discipline/judgement, or the satan, as a torment. This, however, is usuall not the case!

Usually such things are the result of natural forces, just as with any physical illness. Depression can be the end result of certain stresses or a chemical imbalance, for example. Massive amounts of trauma can have devestating results emotionally, sometimes even years in the future. Thus we have disorders like PTSD and "Survivor's Guilt". Some physical injuries, such as electric shock or a blow to the head, can alter brain chemicals and function, and produce mental disorders. These are only a few examples.

Having a mental/emotional disorder does not mean that a person has a "lack of faith" or is somehow "being punished" or "possessed". While there are some instances of spiritual oppression, they are usually NOT the case.

Can it hurt to pray in any event? No.

Mental disabilities are just like physical disabilities. It's not an evil thing. It's something gone wrong with the brain. A "mutation" so to speak. It would be the same as having diabetes as an illness. It's no more their fault than the fault of the diabetic. I believe illnesses come from genetics or environmental factors. Not God/Satan.

That is a little oversimplified; mental or emotional illnesses can be caused by other factors. Diet, lack of certain vitamins and minerals, drug interaction or abuse of narcotics. Chemical imbalances brought of by a variety of causes. One must remember we live in a sinful world, and the perfection created by God is corrupted. Certainly mental illnesses can be brought on by spiritual problem, one of the best ways of this happening is dabbling in games like Ouija, D & D, or any other recrational pasttimes that invoke spiritual presence. I have discovered over the years, just how ignorant people are of the spirit world, in particular demons and their activities. Certainly not all paranormal events are caused by spectres or ghosts, I believe it is Satan. Why? because his sole purpose is to take a persons eyes off of Jesus, people are fasinated by ghost hunting, but it isn't, it is Satan's way of deceiving people and leading them away from Jesus.

No dude they come from a chemical imbalance in the brain. God and Satan got nothing to do with it. Satan by the way is inaccurate. It's just a Hebrew word that simply means opponent or foe.

I believe some of these issues are given us from the Lord , some are, as we read in the New Testament, an affliction from evil spirits and then there is the bulk which is either self imposed (ie: someone who begins a pattern of worry (fear) and eventually creates a patten of paranoia) or they are brought upon us by the sins of others (issues grown out of repeated victimization, abuse, low quality paretning etc. ). Those issues from the Lord may simply be to grow us, this has been my experience, I belive all issues that are given to us are under the supervision of the Lord, regardless of origin; my belief is that we are here to learn about love and to grow, this being a step in our existence so if we trust in God and know he will lead us as we listen we can make it through all.

I wish I knew where in the Bible stuff is better, but there's a verse that says Satan attacks our minds, if we allow it. To allow it means to choose to not seek God's will, but our own.

I believe without a doubt it runs in families, usually the "arts" type of people, (music, art, writing, etc.) But I think because people like that are hardwired that way, they are more vulnerable to mental illness and need to seek the protection of God more than ever.

That's a good question. If we lived in a perfect world (as the world was before Adam & Eve introduced sin into it) there would be no physical or mental illness. But, since we live in a fallen world as a result of sin, we suffer from physical ailments, crime, hate, war, and death. But the good news is that the Lord is returning to restore the earth to its former perfection. Hope you're ready when he does.

NEITHER!
a mentally retarded baby didn't do anything to bring Satan into it's life nor did it deserve to be ill .
this soul chose to be mentally ill so that the souls around it [caregivers]might grow spiritually from the experience .[this is a spiritual agreement between soul groups and a way for a soul to evolve more quickly by choosing a difficult life for itself ]
there is dark forces in the world of course but without negativity we would have nothing to work against to make ourselves stronger .
i do not believe we can be possessed by "Satan".
how can you explain a God who would allow his babies to be born with horrible diseases ,you can not ,but it can be better understood if God steps back and allows each soul to evolve and experience different aspects of human life and allows them to perfect in different ways .
so the answer to your question is the soul chooses it and it is NOT imposed by either the dark or the light side .
best to you

neither. mental illness if u dono how to look at the world in a general point of view. u get caught up in ur own world, u cant get out of the circle u've put urself in. god or religion is just a way for u to look at the world in an open way, and helps broaden ur horizons. plus if u don have a strong mind u cant fight all the invasion this world has on ur mind. images of violence, cruelty, sadness, discrimination... all these can drive a person mad.
