I am sorry but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. No where did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even close. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP ---- please pass this along~

I am not against immigration -- just come through like everyone else. Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

PART OF THE PROBLEM

Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone-----YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM !!!!

Will we still be the Country of choice and still be America if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in America because it is the Country of Choice??????

Think about it!

All we have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS? We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a pro blem with

that. This says it all! This is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper. He

did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please!

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However...... the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming

to America. Our population is almost entirely made up

of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a

few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multi cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty

and our national identity.

As Americans.....we have our own culture, our own

society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society,

learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not

some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women.......on Christian principles............. founded this nation..... and

this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home.........because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle

Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to

another part of this planet We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care

how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First

Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining....... whining...... and griping.......about our flag......our pledge......our national motto.......or our way of life...I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other Great American Freedom....

THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

It is Time for America to Speak up If you agree -- pass

this along; if you don't agree -- delete it!

Is not hate but intelligence what controls the "enemy"
The American culture is not that old, just 3 centuries. Moreover, lots of dreams.
The US is a great country born with a great idea but it might be that the “American Dream" become the world people's dream and therefore impossible to stop foreigners to try to get in and enjoy the Glory of the American Dream? Or any developed country? Immigrants became a problem also in Europe.
France gave to me the best example about how to defend their constitutional right to live in Freedom, Equal Opportunities and Love for the Brothers and Sisters from the Nation (free and non precise translation from their Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite )
They had a big deal when the Muslim girls decided to go to the public school with the scarf. The Education Minister at that time, Sarcozy, said NO WAY, since it means violation of their elemental rights.
After all, his firm decision resulted in a victory. Nobody can express their religion in such an obvious way in a public school.
Therefore, I understand your feelings and frustration because that is happening all over the world and not only in the US.
I hope at the end people like us, living in a developed country, will not have to make a fortress back to medieval times as an effective way to prevent the foreign invasion.
It would be a pity; a closed culture can rarely be a living culture.
My answer shows that I like to write, since I already know my ideas would never be popular in this situation.
Good luck with the nasty invasion, look once in a while what is going on inside your own borders and take care of yourself.

I think it is wrong that people would even consider to say another countries anthem in another language. I think it is rude and disrespectful. The anthem should stay the way it was. But sadly it is not the immigrants who want that, the whole problem is government and the americans in the country. Because how is it that the pledge of allegiance is getting taken out now. Do you know who were the ones to complain that their child should not participate in it? It was the White Americans in this country not so much the immigrants. And sadly it got passed. I think these kind of things are wrong it is not harming anybody so whats the problem, if you don't want to say it or hear it don't step out of the room if you can. So come on don't think that when ever you see a political issue it's right away the immigrants who are forcing it.

I think it's great. Sometimes when I post something in this forum, I will sign off as STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER. This offends some of the Mexicans. It doesn't matter if they are offended. They are in the wrong place. It's not our fault as Americans that they aren't bright enough to figure out that they aren't in Mexico. They are in America. I loved the e-mail that you posted. I have seen it before and it's true. That is exactly how I feel.

STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER. If this offends anyone here, you are in the wrong country and need to leave.

Thank you and it is beautifully said. This reflects the thinking of 90% of legal Americans! The other 10%....what do you call them?

I love the new meaning for those 10%...those liberals and those illegal lovers...it is

"You are not smart enough to know how to spend the money you earn...so I must spend it for you"

These people spend our money, our tax dollars, supporting the causes that they cannot afford to."

Generally, they keep a close watch on their personal finances....no one will ever tell them how to spend their dollars! They want us to support their give-away projects to make them feel good and to look good with those who are the recipients.

I will pass it along!

I agree with much of what has been said here. I was stunned to see protesters marching in our streets carrying Mexican flags. Reading and speaking our language must be a priority for citizenship. I don't mind sharing our country, but those who decry our values and most certainly ignore our financial burden to feed, educate and pay medical costs for untold thousands of families who are in our country illegally are truly ignorant. on the other hand, those of our citizens who exercise their right to free speech in complaining about our values most likely slept through their American history class...but they certainly serve a purpose...athiests tend to pull christians tighter together. Those who burn our flag and spit on the very values that our brothers and sisters died for only tend to fan our patriotic flames even higher. We need to let our Congressional representives know, in no uncertain terms how we feel as Americans!

George Bach. Head of immigration in DC. This is his brainchild that America must change for the immigrant, not the other way around.

His plan is working perfectly I see.

I agree! I just wonder why people sneak into our country then bash it while spending our tax dollars. I would love to see this philosophy become policy!
