Lighter colored oils hold up longer when heated. Darker oils will burn at lower temperatures. So, if you're using them in a sauté pan on the stove the lighter colored oil will be good for holding up to the heat. Use a darker oil to add a specific flavor to your food. The groundnut oil is generally peanut oil and has monounsaturated fats which can lower LDL cholesterol and raise HDL cholesterol. That's good. Refined sunflower oil is high in polyunsaturated fats and low in saturated fats. This is also a pretty healthy choice as far as oils go. Mixing is just a matter of taste.
