A true prophet will always prophecy the truth. Then help me understand the following
In 1897 "Our Lord, the appointed King, is now present, since October 1874," Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 4, page 621.
However I have been told my Jehovah witnesses that Jesus retuened in 1914.
"So does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come? These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?...This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian Witnesses...Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a ‘prophet' of God. It is another thing to prove it." The Watchtower, 4/1/72, p. 197.

2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
That's why the J.W.'s claim that Jesus is not the Word who was with God and who is God but demote Him to the status of a created angel. It's a cult full of wolves in sheeps clothing.
Matthew 7:13 "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. 15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him." Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. John 14:6-10
Ask a J.W what this passage means like I have and they will start tap dancing around the Scriptures and try to pass off some garbage about how it just means that Jesus is "like" God the Father but not the same.

First understand that the Watchtower claims to be a prophet and is really a false prophet.
Second the Watchtower does everything to make sure its people do not learn the truth. They are very control oriented.
Here is some of their other errors:
1916: We see no reason for doubting, therefore, that the Times of the Gentiles ended in October, 1914; and that a few more years will witness their utter collapse and the full establishment of God's kingdom in the hands of Messiah." ("Watchtower Reprints," VI, Sept 1, 1916, p.5950)
1917: "Also, in the year 1918, when God destroys the churches wholesale and the church members by million, it shall be that any that escape shall come to the works of Pastor Russell to learn the meaning of the downfall of Christianity." ("The Finished Mystery," 1917 edition, p.485)
"The year 1925 is here. With great expectation Christians have looked forward to this year. Many have confidently expected that all members of the body of Christ will be changed to heavenly glory during this year. This may be accomplished. It may not be. In his own due time God will accomplish his purposes concerning his people. Christians should not be so deeply concerned about what may transpire this year." ("Watchtower," Jan.1, 1925)

1914 was the day they beleive Satan and 1/3 of the angles were cast out of heaven. They even give you a formula, and some time line. I dont think they are prophets more than they analyze biblical time lines and things. Out of most christian grous I feel the Witnesses follow the Bible to the T. Its not always a good thing or smart on their part, but they are well versed and Knowledgeable when it comes to the Good Book!

Despite the lying slander of anti-Witness agitators, Jehovah's Witnesses have humbly taught that they are *NOT* infallible and *NOT* inspired by God; that's more than 125 years of such clear denials.
Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term "prophet" only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangment for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a "prophet" (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work.
What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally?
(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.
(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Yes I listened to a whole series on counterfeit Christianity and that's exactly what the Watch Tower Organization is. They have made many prophecies that have never come to pass. I believe also in the 70's they predicted Abraham and Moses were going to be resurrected from the dead and come to live on the Earth.
In preparation the Watchtower Organization purchased a house for them to live in, in a great area of California. They actually deeded the house to where Abraham and Moses just had to go to city hall and prove they were who they were.
Funny though, when that never happend the leader of the Watch Tower Organization moved in for a little... gee I guess Abraham didn't get to enjoy is 1.some million dollar house...

I didn't know the group claimed being a prophet...

my idea is whoever claims to be a prophet is more likely to be a false prophet... it's really hard...
