First of all it is confirmed that the french will send 2000 troops.
As good troops they have the Foreign Legion, they have NEVER surrendered (but I don't know if they will send them). Maybe because there are a lot of Germans and Poles in it ;-)
Once motivated do not underestimate the french (fe Verdun). But are they motivated for this mission, that's the question.
About the french that never won a war, why had Napoleon conquered half of europe (maybe he won in Austerlitz, Ulm, Jena, ... by surrendering ?)
In general the problem with the french is their leadership not the bravery. I think they lost more battles by being too brave and foolharding attacking than by being a chicken. f.e. Crecy.
About that there were no french when they were liberated in WW2. What about 2nd armoured division of gen. Leclere. What about the breaking of the stalemate around Monte Casino.

Well the French President said he was sending over 2000 French troops. Where he will find that many is anybody's guess. I think the first time a kid with a stick shakes it at any French trooper, they will surrender en mass.

They only offered 200! That was all they had that could surrender in Farsi and Hebrew. ALL their other armed forces surrendered to the only Real fighting force they have...the Foreign Legion, and they are to busy processing prisoners to comment!

I was wondering how many troops will be killed by Israel and then try to blame it on Hezbollah or saying that it was an "innocent mistake"...

I imagine a few will be killed by unexploded ordnance or vehicle accidents etc., but combat with Hezbollah is unlikely.
