How famous do you have to be before you are considered assasinated rather than murdered?
Think about it. The three US Presidents were considered assasinated, as was John Lennon. Where as when someone is shot in a movie or shot by someone else (not suicide) they're considered murdered.

it's not actually about how famous you are, but your job. The dictionary defines them as:
Murder - the unlawful premeditated killing of one person by another.
Assassinate - murder a political or religious leader.
interestingly, the word assassin comes from the fanatical branch of Ismaili Muslims who dominated in the time of the crusades. These assassins were reputed to heavily use hashish (marijuana resin) before their missions. (hashishins = assassins)

You don't have to be famous. Anyone can be killed by an assasin (someone hired to kill). It's to do with the plotting, and money changing hand I think!

um, i don't really know. maybe you have to be a world leader. then again, john lennon wasn't a world leader. maybe you have to be very very...what's the word? uh, how about influential to society? yeah, let's go with that. you have to be very influential to society to be considered assasinated as opposed to murdered

if ur a political leader or somewat likethat (Who is more popular)
then u have more chances to get murdered if ur doingwell than the others.
But this not actually seems a joke it seems political so its a bit difficult to think abt this anyway thats my idea i pray for u that u should not get murdered and also not get assasinated.

I don't know, but it is very interesting, especially when someone doesn't have to be particularly famous to be the victim of Character Assassination!

it think its not the fame. i think its about how a person hates you so much that he wants you to be killed. or how bad you are.
