I have some pimples, and was wondering if rubbing alcohol can kill acne causing bacteria. Can it also dry up the pimples?

it has worked for me but everyone's skin if different.. You can try it and see and if it makes it worse then stop.. alot of time if you use a mild soap to wash your face with then splash your face with cold water right after you wash it. this will help keep acne from forming. the cold water cause's your pours to close up and that keeps dirt and oil out. You can do this a couple of times a day for a few weeks and see if that helps. Both have worked really well for me. Good luck..

Alcohol will not cure acne.
If you want to kill bacteria, use an antibiotic.
To dry acne, use Benzoyl peroxide.

Rubbing alcohol will make it worse. I did that when I was a teenager and I remember how it made the acne look really red and inflamed and I was more embarrassed than before. You need a drying agent like Zinc Oxide.

I don't know if it can kill bacteria. But I know that rubbing alcohal on the pimpile can and or will dry out the acne and cause it to disapear more quickly then poping it and just allowing it to go away.
