Three weeks? You think you are going to be confident in just 3 weeks? I really don't believe you are giving yourself enough time.
I received my license when I was 28 and it took me months to really get confident. Practice makes perfect.
Take the time to learn. Life and everything that goes along with it is a learning experience and everything takes time to gain knowledge and grow.
With every new learning experience we have different levels of anxiety, and anxiety levels decrease as go from novice to expert in whatever we achieve.
Give yourself a chance, ok?

The only way a new driver will calm down is time and experience. I have been driving 18 wheelers for a long time, and can tell you first hand that a nervous driver is a dangerous driver. The best thing you can do is just stay safe, take your time (but not to slow) and do feel obligated to do 100 mph because everyone else is. Slow is good just keep it to the right side of road. I would recommend driving around on Sunday morning's when not a whole lot of people are on the roads, to get used to driving. It will come with time. Good luck and please stay safe.

The more you drive. My mother started around your age too, Depending on where you live or drive you may always be a bit nervous ,but not as much. I've been driving for 39 years and there are places I drive that I get nervous. Don't worry, all new drivers are nervous for a while, even the younger ones.

Practice - practice - practice - and when you've done enuf of that? Do some more --- try driving around town after dark - say 10 or 11 pm, on a week nite - that's how I started - and still 'do', when moving to a new town.

It will probably take a little while before you feel comfortable. It'll just take time. The next thing you know, you'll be behind the wheel and dancing on the pedals to the stereo. Happy driving.

Take note of it's size, it's width, lenght, & you will know it a lot better when ur behind the wheel. won't be so nerous, when your should of the size of car ur drivine, & be more confident. best of luck, but remember, every one has accidents & if you don't your one luck ducky in this world.

Practice, its like anything else, the more practice you get the more comfortable you will become. Find an area where you are comfortable and go there to practice. Drive around your neighborhood several times, when you get the chance.

Drive cautiously but confidently. Be alert. Don't allow distractions (e.g., cell phones, talkative passengers, food and drink, loud music). Drive as often as you can to face your fears and gather road experience. Remember: practice makes perfect.

Practice, practice practice. I use to take my kids to empty parking lots on the weekend just to practice driving. That made them really confident. Just relax and pay attention and don't be distracted.
