Sure, it goes like this. When a person receives God's Holy Spirit they have a built in teacher and counselor who gives them the faith to believe God's Word and the understanding to see how it applies to their life as well as the power to overcome their natural or "fleshly" tendencies.
1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
"For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Romans 8:7-9
God gifts us with the ability to see and to agree with Him that we are going the wrong way in a particular area of our life and to make a u-turn and go in the other direction that leads to eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Not really, because it just doesn't make any sense.
Let's suppose I had a slave. I control that slave's whole world. If I wanted him to do something, I could force him to do it whether he liked to or not. Perhaps this slave really tried hard to please me and did fairly good work.
Now, if I wanted to be really cruel to this slave, I could beat the slave. I suppose that after a while, that would get boring.
If I wanted to be even more cruel, I could create work for this slave to do that I knew he couldn't do completely, no matter how hard he tried, then make him feel like it was his fault for not doing it well enough.
Suppose now, I told him that as long as he told me how awful he was for not being able to do the work I gave him and kissed my ring, I won't beat him. Would that be a gift of my sovereign love to him?
I don't think so.

repentance means being sorry for what you have done or what you should have done. Being sincerely repentant, you ask the Lord to forgive you and help you to live each day according to His will. Then God will forgive you your sins, because of His Son Christ Jesus, who died for you on the cross, now you can go to the father through our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. This is called the grace of God.

All sin has ever been is disobedience to God.
When we repent we are saying we have not allowed God to be in control of our life.
God wants us to be blessed and the only way to truly be blessed is to let God direct our lives.
