jokes and pun aside, is there is a scientific method to actually change one's ethnicity? Could it be bleaching? Skin grafting? Well-thought-out answers only, please.

Because if it is not possible, why do people harass michael jackson, by claiming that he bleached his skin? I know it's not fashionable right now to respect, but please let's back off and stop harassing the man. Peace and check out vitiligo websites to get a better understanding on the issue.

People harass Michael Jackson because they are ignorant and believe everything the media tells them! If some doctor or scientist invented a skin bleach he would be shouting his new discovery to the world, there's no way they would keep quiet about something like that!! Michael has Vitiligo which depletes the pigment in his skin and he uses makeup to even it out! There are pictures of MJ where you can see white patches on his skin. Vitiligo also make you allergic to the sun and that's why he either covers himself or uses an umbrella outside!

Medically speaking, you can't change the race you're born into.
Maybe some day some kind of gene therapy will be available that changes how a person's body regulates melanin (the substance responsible for producing color), but it is certainly not available now.
Skin bleaches don't really change the color of a person's skin - they just lighten the skin a few shades (like tanning, but in the reverse). They usually contain peroxide, are toxic over long periods of time, and make the skin slighly yellowish. (Michael Jackson appears to wear a lot of makeup, and may himself have used skin bleach. I still don't think anyone would think that the resulting color looks natural)
It has been suggested that the plastic surgery to create "epicantic folds" in the eyelids of Asian people is actually an attempt to make Asians more Caucasian. I believe that most people find the resulting change in appearance to be minor.
Of course, some people will tell you that ethnicity is more than appearance - that a Caucasian child adopted by an Asian family can identify as Asian even if they don't look the same as their mother and father.
But that wasn't your question :)

ethnicity can not be changed. if you were born a certain race, that's it. all you can do is change the outside appearance.
Yes there are methods of changing skin color. Darkness of the skin depends on your melanin. or the pigmentation of your skin. Bleaching cna work to a certain extent. There's a new drug called glutathione which suppresses the production of melanin, hence you become fairer. But this should be supervised by a doctor. Remember, whatever you take can adverse affect your health. This is fairly a new drug and there are no clinical trials that can tell you how effective this is or more importantly how dangerous this drug can be. Keep in mind that although at first you don't see any side effects, the can appear even after a few years.
But, you should ask yourself why you need to change your color. everybody should be comfortable in their own skin. its just the society that you're in that dictates the acceptable standard. you shouldn't let that affect you, because superficial societies will never be satisfied with what they have, their standards will change. SO... will you change along side with it!

Bleaching wouldn't help because the skin cells renew every time. Technically it should be possible to have your whole body tattooed with white ink but it couldn't be healthy. Why would you want to change body color anyway? As far as I know ther's no scientific way to change skin color.

lol, sorry, but no. not unless you want to paint it! are skin colour is genetic. it is caused by the melanin under the first layer of the epidermis and there is nothing you can do to alter it. Plus, white people look ugly when they dress up as black people and visa versa because we have totally different bone structures.

I suppose there must be something to lighten the skin. But isn't it strange, white people (many of them) are spending money on tanning lotions, and tanning booths to try to darken their skin....hmmmm.
