I have always had an urge to act, however my big break was a let down, it was between me and a GIRL to play father christmas in the school christmas play and I was aged 7. she got the part by a split decision I was gutted, got my own back though, I had a wee in her toy sack

never trusted santa since.

when I was 15 applied to be in the school production of oliver and got the part of understudy to the narrator, which was brilliant because there isnt a narrator in Oliver

If it wasnt for bad luck I wouldnt have any luck at all

I was in a production of Timberlake Wertenbaker's Our Country's Good. I played Ketch Freeman, the cheeky Irish hangman.

I also played R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Those were the days.

Oh, and I played bass in Willy Russell's Blood Brothers.

I was in lots of plays and musicals in Jr Hi and Hi School, but my best lead role didn't come until college. I played the lead role of Aldonza in Man of LaMancha. It was really fun to play a role that was nothing like me in real life, (she was a whore)! I got to do really cool make up like bruises and even some dancing which is not normally one of my talents. It was a blast and I even met my husband of 24 years in the cast.

Yes! when I was about six I was cast as an elf. I think my line was "Oh, oh, my foot!" Sounds more like Androcles and the Lion. II did a lot of amateur dramatics as a child, since my parents were leading lights in the local amateur dramatic society. You need a child who can remember their lines and isn't going to throw up from stage.fright? I was the one.

Yes in my very first school at age five. I don't remember the title of the play but I was a tree - no lines to learn.

Loads of parts, from Pantomime dame to Ely Jenkins in Under Milk Wood! From a Guard in Oedipus Rex to the lead in Plautus' Pot of Gold.
