i sit here each day answering questions that i feel i can answer , with respect for others despite their beleifs
but i do wish i could ask questions regarding my own beliefs , but i feel that would come across as preaching ...
should i just carry on answering questions and getting my opinion across that way , or should i be asking more questions
i do worry i come across as arrogant , bias or preaching
your thoughts please ?
think im just fed up waiting on questions i can answer lol

Gosh. Thought you've been saving on points that's why you're limiting your questions? lol. It's natural for spiritual people to develop sensitivity especially on what might their actions or thoughts do to others. I am glad to hear your points in spiritual matters in the form of question of course. In fact I find spiritual answer more interesting than religious one.

I say go ahead and ask. Just be respectful and if someone thinks your arrogant or "preaching" well that's just their opinion. It never ceases to amaze me how someone can so totally misinterpret some things. I once asked a very serious question about organ donation and made a statement that I was going to donate mine. Especially since a member of my family was alive today due to an organ transplant. Someone replied by telling me to shut the f**k up. I have NO IDEA why they were so angered by my question but I don't regret asking because of all the wonderful responses I got. I didn't let that one person ruin it for me. So go ahead and ask, after all, that's what this site is for.

See the thing is not just to answer what you know but to find the answers about you don't know. When you see a question posted and don't know what the answer is, instead of just ignoring it learn more about the subject. It will not only increase your knowledge but also you sense of reasoning and eventually enlightment.

Asking questions to enlighten yourself is required. But in this section I see the person asking the question chooses the answer whitout going into the depths of each answer. Some may be wrong, some right but choosing answer based on what you already believe is a naive behaviour.

I constantly question my beliefs and see what others have to say about it, evaluate my knowledge with theirs and then form an opinion.

Do carry on, I would say. Serious and honest questions are valid and welcome.
Very often on Answers, and especially in this section, people make assertions rather than questions, or pose a proselytising statement in the guise of a question.
In response to such, I have left many answers that I am sure have offended, but offence is not my goal; I am unashamedly blunt and frank, but it is only with those people who are single mindedly preaching rather than seeking discourse that I adopt a 'Carpe Jugulum' approach. And for people advocating hatred and intolerance, no arrow is too shrap.

Just be brave and ask your questions, OK you do get some daft ones but even those make you laugh, just because someone doesn't have your beliefs doesn't mean to say you have no opinion, your just a sensitive soul that's all, ask away as I am very interested in spiritualism myself and you maybe able to help me with some things I would like to know, good luck.

Heres a tip. When you want to ask a question and you think it sounds a bit poncy or religious, just change the formula, replace the words that you think might put people of and replace them with more interesting ones. For instance, If you want to talk about God then call him ,The old feller, and stuff like that. Everybody will understand you

well i think you should continue answering the questions that you feel you can honestly answer.

however, if you dont have any genuine questions that need answering by others then dont ask the questions.

if you want to know other people's opnions and want to have a rethink about your own beliefs then post the question and i am sure you will get a lot of responses.

Asking a proper question isn't preaching. The problem with a lot of the religious 'questions' in here is that they are not questions at all, just preachings.

Feel free to ask, you will get some abusive responses, some crazy Christians and some people just being funny, but there will also be some of us that will answer your question with respect, and honesty . I am a heretic, but try to respect all people's views, because they are important to them.

This is a free forum and you can ask questions about anything you choose. No matter what you ask there are always going to be the question bashers who want nothing more than to make someone feel as bad as they do. So ask away! Peace!
