It's not true. I'ts a common joke that she had a colostomy bag in her handbag along with a bottle of Gin.
The colostomy bag is attached to the stent where the end of the instestine has been placed.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse. I don't know whether the fool that told you that was born stupid or if he/she acquired this along the way. A colostomy bag hangs on the side of the body, it is attached to a part of the bowel called the colon. It collects waste matter.

NO, it was always on the news whenever she went into hospital and colostomy bags are very small and can be concealed under clothing, people would have seen a pipe going into her bag, so no.

yeah she would have to carry it in a special way and sometimes a helper would carry it for her, always standing at her side. it's known you can find out about it on the internet but the major UK newspapers have made rules among themselves not to talk about things like that.
