Then don't fly.

There are no terrorists on the damn plane, already. Thanks to the Media Circus, you have been brainwashed into thinking that the government actually cares about your safety over their wallets.

So you go to the airport, have your car searched, park in an unprotected lot for your stereo to get stolen later, and get wanded at every door you pass through. If that's not insulting enough, you stand in line while they feel you up and dig through your personal belongings "just in case" YOU are a terrorist.

You can't bring your water bottle on anymore, so you have to pay the airline $8 for one as you fly. You already paid $12 extra each way for departure and destination fees, but you sit on the runway waiting for your gate for an extra hour. When you get off the plane, you have to find out where your luggage went because the low IQ baggage handlers thought your book was an explosive and routed it to New Delhi. The people who came to pick you up already went home, because by this point you're 2 hours overdue.

And you get to do it all over again on the return trip! How fun!

So why are you scared of terrorists?

Don't fly. Or realize that even with terrorists and pilot error and mechanical failure you are still many more times likely to be hit by lightning. And you really want to stay safe stay out of your bathroom, kitchen and the highways as that's where you're MOST LIKELY to die!

Hope that helped... but it is the truth.

I avoid flying/airports because the anger generated by the delays and conspicuous consumation of tax payers money with little or no benefit is bad for my angina.

Or encourage the government to adopt EL AL procedures... that would be money spent to good effect.

My favorite anecdote was when my friend was forced to discard his nailclippers. Which he did, then picked up his M-16 and boarded(their unit was headed to you know where). Gotta love it!

There are onyl two solutions either stop getting scared or stop flying.
Orl buy an Apple IPOD or Sony PSP to keep you busy on flight. But dont know the latest guidelines if that is allowed or not.

I can understand your fear, especially if you are travelling with family members. The thing that you have to remember is every thing that can be done is being done by tighter security. So what if it means delays, I personally would rather get there later than not at all. Try not to let the terrorists stop you from doing the things that you enjoy hon, don't let the buggers win. I hope that you can get over your fear and start enjoying flight travel again. x

If you are being put off by the terrorists then they have won. Give your head a shake and get flying. If it's your time to go it's your time to go. Don't think if it's the pilots time to go why should I go with him. What will you do if they start leaving bombs in the street stop in?

You could avoid english and american air companies. I was going to flight to London with British Airways, but after the last missed attack, I am thinking of flying Easyjet or Olympic airways. I guess terrorists have still focused targets, and they wouldn't hit another state's airline.

You shouldn't be. These attacks are incredibly rare but clever manipulation of the media means that we now all live in a climate of fear. And if the people are scared, they are easier to control.

Live life to the full and don't worry about a thing. When your time is up it's up and there's nothing you can do about it. Just make the time before your final breath fun and carefree.

You're more likely to be killed by terrorist attack on a train than in a plane.

Stop watching the news.
