When I was 16 years old schoolboy when I was reading the Bible I have had visions and I tried to reject it, I said, Oh, no, this is a misleading hallucination, it is not reality. But when I have an illness, one christian woman came and prayed for me and when I continued reading the Bible I saw a vision in which I saw myself healed from chicken pox for one week and it was real. I was healed from chicken pox for obne week. I was so astonished, it was so amazing! So what do you think about this?

Visions while reading the Bible? Only when my eyes start to cross from reading all the tiny words.

You may have heard adults around you mention that chicken pox heal in a week or two, and that may have lead to your "vision"— which was more likely a dream. It's not uncommon to fall asleep while reading or dose off enough to dream. And it's easy enough to mistake a dream for a vision.

As for healing in a week or so, well ... That's what chicken pox do whether they are accompanied by visions or not.

I sometimes get visions - not just from reading the bible. I think that God can use our imagination to show us things - like what we need to have faith in (healing from chicken pox for example), or warn us about things that could happen in the future.

I think the Bible has something to say about visions and women, something like "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live"

And besides, if it was God healing you, why did it take a whole week (which is about the time it takes chicken pox to run its course anyway), why weren't you healed instantly?

I don't have visions but I do have ideas in my head about what I'm reading and what it might have loooked like.

As far as chicken pox, I think those go away in about a week anyway. :)

when God gives you a vision, you must think of three things. does it reflect God and His ways, does it tell me something about what God wants, and does it afect the future. write it down and ask your pastor if it is from God. God gives us visions for a reson and we must not ignore them. pray to God an ask him to give you understanding of these visions. if it happens in church and it seems important, you should tell the whole congregation. someone always benefits from it. God will help you understand them and use them.
