Choose something you are interested in. If the subject does not hold your interest it is unlikely you will be motivated to complete the work and put the required effort in.
Do not feel that what you choose as you major must become your life, many different options will all open many different doors in the future.

Ask yourself:
1) What do I like to do?
2) What kind of environment do I like to work in? Office?
3) What kind of money do I want to make?
4) Do I have any special talents that will help me in that major?

i would say choose a major by thinking about what you see yourself doing until retirement age, because people USUALLY make a CAREER out of whatever they've majored in. furthermore, whatever you see yourself doing, you must enjoy it or you'll be miserable. for example, i teach & i love working with kids. i majored in education. however, there are teachers on my job that i really have to wonder why they majored in education.

That's what teachers, professors and student advisers are for.
Go talk to them. It's part of their job.

ask yourself "what's my passion?" then pursue the subject that best matches the answer.
the most surefire way to guarantee success is to do what you love.
