It is wrong to do anything in excess. It may say that Jesus turned water to wine, and that he drank wine, but you won't find any scripture that said that He was drunk, and not of a clear mind.

No.
The Bible tells us at Psalms 104: 15 that God gave us" wine that makes the heart of mortal man rejoice" and as you mentioned,
Jesus drank wine, plus his very first miracle at Cana was turning
water into wine, and as John 2: 10, 11 notes, not just wine but
"fine wine." The apostle Paul told Timothy at 1 Timothy 5: 23
"Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of
your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness."
Drinking is not forbidden but drunkeness is. at 1 Corinthians 6: 10 drunkards are listed among "the unrighteous persons that
will not inherit God's kingdom." Galations 5: 19-21 lists drunkeness among the works of the flesh .Proverbs 23: 29-35
describes the dangers of alcoholism. Moderation is the key
for Christians.

Alot of Christian denominations believe that alcohol is a sin because it only leads to drunkenness (which is not necessarily true). Others only allow alcohol to be drunk during Holy Communion.
Back then, living conditions were alot different. Today we have filtered water among other things to drink. They didn't have those things for the same reason you don't drink the water in third world countries. They drank wine because they had no knowledge or method of filtering bad stuff out of the water to make it safe.

In Leviticus 10:8-10 God commands Aaron that when they go into the tabernacle that they should not drink "wine or strong drinks." They were to do this to distinguish between the common and uncommon, between holy and unholy. Christians in general believe that they are to live their lives to honor God, to live a holy life. If to drink alcohol means to be unholy, then they are to avoid it.
Other verses for more reference: Numbers 6:3, Judges 13:4,7,14, Proverbs 20:1, Isaiah 5:11,22; 28:7, Luke 1:15, etc., etc.

The New Covenant that Jesus gave us at the Last Supper is not about laws... it is about the heart. Be lead by your heart and be true to it. The closer you are to God the more the Holy Spirit will be able to tell you right from wrong. Everyone knows there weaknesses, for some people it is wrong to drink for others it doesn't matter. But then they have to listen and not drink to get drunk, as has been said everything in moderation.

can a drunkard enter the kingdom of heaven, don't all drunkards and liars go to the same hell? the bible says all sinners will enter the lake of fire? what does the bible say?
Pro 31:4 ¶ [It is] not for kings, O Lemuel, [it is] not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
Pro 31:5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
Pro 31:6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
Pro 31:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
Pro 31:8 ¶ Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
btw; they were so drunk at the wine anyway that they couldnt tell if Christ served fermented wine or not ... it was called the blood of the grapes... new wine, aka grape juice.
the bible says be not drunk with wine to excess but be filled with the spirit
question: what is excess? 1, 2, 3, zero? you want to try God to see what his limit is? i don't.

I was on AA's site and they have a clip or documentary about the alcohol abuse.
The clips says that EVERY alcohol abuser used to be a "social drinker" or what some people have said "drank once in a while".
What exactly does it means? It means that every addiction starts some "trying it" or "using it once in a while" and becomes an addiction.
Now what is the solution? Only answer one can give is "never touch alcohol in your life".

People always will give an excuse for what they do.
The key here is not to be given to drunkenness. Most people who drink do not stop with 1 drink. The Bible refers frequently to drunkenness.
Galatians 5:21
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Ephesians 5:18
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Nothing against drinking - just about being drunk.
For example...
I wrote you in my earlier letter that you shouldn't make yourselves at home among the sexually promiscuous. I didn't mean that you should have nothing at all to do with outsiders of that sort. Or with crooks, whether blue or white-collar. Or with spiritual phonies, for that matter. You'd have to leave the world entirely to do that! But I am saying that you shouldn't act as if everything is just fine when a friend who claims to be a Christian is promiscuous or crooked, is flip with God or rude to friends, gets drunk or becomes greedy and predatory. You can't just go along with this, treating it as acceptable behavior. I'm not responsible for what the outsiders do, but don't we have some responsibility for those within our community of believers? God decides on the outsiders, but we need to decide when our brothers and sisters are out of line and, if necessary, clean house.
