I'm not a professed Wiccan, but it is a beautiful religion. Look at the "Reed". {Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little, listen much" and "do as ye will 'an harm none". Seems like a wonderful recipe for life. Teaches love and respect more than most religions, as I have seen. Reminds me of Eastern religion with poetry. Incantatiions are simply prayer put to rhyme. Most Wiccans that I know are very loving, peaceful people. I think you are in good company!

Typical Wiccans are very accepting of others regardless of different religions. Also, many have pointed out that the Catholic system of praying through Saints is a similar idea that originally came from Pagans working through a pantheon of gods and goddesses.
Edit: Just a minor correction to lighthealer's answer. The term is "Rede" instead of "Reed". But I like what she said otherwise.

If you are attracted to the Wiccan faith, then study it, discuss it with other Wiccans and decide if you want to join.
You don't have to be Catholic if you don't want to. We have a freedom of religion in the US.
I believe in Father God and Mother God. It just feels right in my heart.

There is a lot of misconception about wiccan out there, because most people think its all witchcraft. On the contrary, it is about receiving energy from the things around us.

Perhaps that's what's in your heart. Give it a try. Have you discussed this with your husband? Email me if you need some links to learn on your own. : ) You'll find a path that suits you. Some paths believe in a God and Goddes, some believe only in a Goddess. You'll find what suits you. There are plenty out there!

Sounds like you have a lot of exposure to it. If you turned around and started spending more time with catholics you would probably head in that direction. Its your choice though. Go with whatever you want.

sometimes the fates give us a jewel so sparkling bright that we cant take our eyes of it and must follow the path it illuminates all the way to the end.
