I bought a 2001 Dodge Caravan 2 days ago and the engine light came on. I had droven it for less then 50 miles took it to auto zone they checked it out and said the sensor was bad in the transmission. I took the van back to the car lot last night and they said they would fix it. Do I have any rights?

Nope your screwed, should have asked for a warranty from the dealer or had a through mechaincal inspection before you signed the papers. And if the dealer refuses to let you have a inspection walk away, its not worth it.

Lemon laws are for new cars, and usually require multiple problems. You have to seek redress from the manufacturer for lemons.

Yours is a warranty issue, and it sounds like the seller it taking care of you. You should have gotten a written warranty when you bought the car. Read it, that will tell you what your rights are.

no lemon law on the used cars.
The problem your van has is common for the Dodge line and I had one fixed 5 times and when I traded it in the light was on and had been for over 70000 miles, traded in at 209,000 miles.
