Because you bible thumpers actually believe you are "enlightened", and far superior to us Atheists. You will spend your lives feeling superior, but you will also spend your lives feeling a guilt that we Atheists will never know or understand! I'm just not about to spend my entire existence on this planet with visions of sugarplum gods dancing through my head! And I refuse to feel guilt for the things that come completely natural to humans, such as sex, for example! It's embarrassingly ignorant to believe that life is sacred, and then to believe that the act of making life is impure! I think they're pissed off at religion in general, which is easy to be when you're confused and have lots of people telling you you're going to Hell. I'm not an athiest, in fact I've never once questioned the existence of God. But I have been thru that struggle of what to believe. Sometimes it makes you crazy. There are a lot of nuts out there on both sides, and everybody's response is a result of the negative and positive experiences they have had in their lifetimes. I blame religious nuts who do more harm than good. They fuel the fire for athiests to sound off.

Have you read your own responses, does lowering yourself to their level make you any better? For allot of them it's simply because they are tired of religious zealots trying so profusely to cram their beliefs down their throats.
