well the age alone cant tell anyone anything really... it does help but also what breed is he, then you would know the life expectancy.. try giving him food, water and making sure he stays comfortable... vitamins and things can be given to him, you can purchase them at a petstore like petsmart, or petco....make sure hes comfortable and not too hot, and call a vet and get thier opinion, he may be getting ready to cross the rainbow bridge...

good luck!!

if you need further help that you arent finding here try going to mypetwebsite.com and clicking on forums up top, you have to register which may take 24 hours but its worth it... make him comfortable, and be there with him so you know whats going on...

You should take Your Dog to a Vet as soon as Possible. At 14 yrs.old alot of Problems can start to develop very quickly and a Dog can go down hill rapidly.. If He does not get proper Treatment his body (inside and out) start to shut down.. I would at least get some blood work done to check his Kidney, Liver and Thyroid Functions. I work in Monterey (where everything is more expensive) and for $45.00 We run an In House Blood Panel which gives Us results within 1 hour.. The sooner You get to the Vet's the better chance your Dog has..

Check with your Vet. It seems that he is getting old. At 14 years old, he is around 72 in dog years.

A few things you might try: Worming, heighten his calorie intake by adding QUALITY canned food to his diet, Add electrolites to his water (feed store bought or pedialyte), Examine his teeth, surroundings, and fecal matter. Lastly, get him examined. This may be a small matter, or a serious one. Older dogs can have good spikes and bad ones... good luck!
