i wanna get in touch with my ex. i am just missing our conversations. we havent talked in a couple weeks. should i email him now or just wait until it would be completely out of the blue? he's working in another state right now so no chance of seeing him... do you think it might make the contact better if i just wait awhile? obviously, i am interested in getting him back. but i want to do it the right way, when he is ready, which he is not now. but maybe in a month or so he would be missing me more than he may be now - and wanting to hear from me more - so maybe i should hold off?? sorry if this is longwinded - i am rambling

I think you need to figure out whether this is really what you want. You seem to be only wanting this because you miss what you had, that's never a good way to restart the relationship and will likely end up with the same result, so why not make some new friends and clear your head. Honestly I think it's best to just stay friends since you guys already tried it once and it didn't work out, chances are that even if you get back together on a good note the same problems will happen again. You can't change who he is nor can he change who you are. Think it through.

Ask yourself: Has anything changed that would allow our relationship to work and last if we rekindled it?
It isn't the time span that matters, it is what changes have occurred in the two of you that would give this relationship a significant chance of survival if you were to start it up again.

you don't want to let things go remember getting out of sight out of mind if you have a way to email him do so keep it light send jokes and keep up with the news and happening in your home town and also the things going on with his friend and YOURS that he really liked that way you will keep the door open if and when he wants more then a friend

I can only talk about me but I hate when my ex calls me.....i am lucky that i have found a new partner she is wonderful and when my ex calls it can add unnessary tention in a great relationship. So if your ex has moved on....give him the space he deserves.
