Could this nation survive without the illegals?

they have been here since the the first white man (from spain) who gave this nation its latin/italian name (America). This nation survives because of the illegals and legals. America is not lilly white and has never been. There is illegals in every family and if you disagree, you are in for a rude awakening.

The middle class couldn't. Common goods would be much more expensive. Only rich people or very poor but proud people want illegals out because to them they are either a nuisance or standing in front of them at the welfare line.

Yes of course it could, did we survive in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's & even the 60's? YES !! Matter of fact this nation has not seen this many illegals until Reagan granted amnesty, that is when the droves of illegals started to come here.
And noone has said this nation was lily white.....and I can guarantee you that there are NO illegals in my family tree. Don't assume anything about people you do NOT know.
But back to us surviving, the jobs that illegals are doing, might I ask you who did those before an illegal came along ??
The only place that might not be able to survive would be LA and to be honest I could care less about them, they brought those problems on themselves !!

There is a HUGE difference between minority and illegal and a big difference between native Americans and Mexicans for that matter or blacks and Mexicans. I agree there is native american blood in many white families.

What we can survive without is an open border that can let illegals and others **possibly terrorist** sneak in. What we can survive without is people coming here to do something very close to slave labor.
Illegal immigration is good for nobody. If you support illegal immigration you are supporting bad employers paying people extremely low wages, working them too many hours, not giving them any benefits because they don't have papers.
If you support illegal immigration you are supporting the bondage of desperate people and the rise of drug dealers and human trafficking.
If you support illegal immigration you are supporting the a wage drecrease of every American because they can pay illegals less.
You obviously don't live in a border state and you obviously have not thought this through very well.
It's you who is in for the rude awakening!!!!

Yes, it would.

If we began a program to round up and expel all illegals we would almost IMMEDIATELY see a large number of new visa holders. The government would put an emergency visa program in place and those who applied would soon find they replaced the illegals who were being deported.

It would be disruptive. For the illegals it would be painful because they would be displaced by their countrymen who quickly took advantage of the new program. But it would happen quickly because so much of the economy is dependent upon these hard workers.

So, ironically, a program to expel illegals, aggresively enforced, is probably the quickest route to a legal immigration program for these workers.

You know... I made a huge, long, post... then I found it pointless.

It's SELF-EVIDENT the work that illegals do in the United States.
No one can deny the contributions they make to labor markets that haven't been exported to China.

And for all you whiny, little bítches whose ONLY rational argument is that taxpayer money goes into services for them need to get a reality check :
Illegals can't recieve any government benefits.
Only American citizens can recieve government benefits.

The ONLY thing that illegals can recieve is lost, and unfunded emergency medical care. The government doesn't eat that up, hell, even the states don't : The hospitals do.

And considering the fact that the majority of doctors are raking in money in the 6-digits, I don't think they're at too massive of a loss.

Illegals are poor... and they live under the harshest working conditions, and highest public scrutiny. Illegals can't expose themselves for fear of being deported..... that's why so many remain silent.

But consider the money they pump into the system : they need to eat and live like anyone else. They're shopping at Wal-Mart just like the rest of the hicks.

I can tell you that my family has no illegals. I can guarantee that.
Of course this country isn't lilly white. But it isn't stupid either. This country would be just fine without the illegals. It is Mexico that would suffer.
Mexico's largest source of income is money sent from the USA. Even the president acknowledges that. I think we should get every illegal from every country out of our land and enforce our borders.
What is the difference in coming over and getting on welfare, and coming over and stealing? I pay for welfare out of my pocket, and at least stealing is only paid for by the company stolen from. Mexican television even tells illegals how to apply for Food stamps and Medicaid!
I say we put up an electric fence, plant some land mines and defend ourselves against these leaches!

Can the nation survive without Illegal immigrants? Certainly! We would simply rework the Visa system to allow more legal immigrants(you know the people who WANT to learn about our nation, culture, etc) instead of illegals who won't join the American culture but instead insist that we adapt to theirs.

A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, Mexifornia, explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal - was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Instead of studying for my GED, I am in college studying history and political science. I have been for 2 years. So if you are calling me out about my education, well there you have it. I know our nation can survive without illegals. I know that it will be better without them. So find another way to bash me.
