people don't need to believe in God, they just do because He is real. Many people who say they don't are just fooling themselves...if anyone is so convinced that there is no God, why are they on sites like this asking questions about Him? If something so clearly does not exist (can't see, hear, touch Him) then why do people still want to know? The real deal is that God doesn't rig the world so that everyone who believes in him gets what they want...that would not make him a fair God. He loves everyone..even people who convince themselves He doesn't exist. But really, think about it..if you truly don't believe in God, why are you asking these questions? People don't typically search for things if they think they don't exist

It's selfish to not believe in the christian view of God? How is that? The idea that God helps you along is rather absurd to me considering the fact that anything you do has to be started and done by you, where does the God part come in? Likewise if he doesn't help you do you blame him for not being there for you? I believe that the things I do or don't do are my own choice and that there isn't any divine influence involved at all.

God created us in ways that allow us to grow and develop better if we believe in Him. God does help but usually in ways that we do not always like. The test that we are sent help us grow and develop in useful ways that would be impossible without those test. Think about it - when have you grown most in life? For most people it is when there were difficulties to overcome and by facing the test we grow. If God immediately solved all our problems we would rarely grow.

Why does it bother you so much? Why are YOU thinking about God? How do you know if he helps me or not? I wouldn't be living if I didn't have God's help. Deep down you KNOW there IS a God.

People need to believe in God because it's good for them--mind, body, and soul, and their eternity. Speak for yourself, dear, as far as God not helping us at all. There are those of us who have seen otherwise.

People catch religion from their parents like people catch common colds... Religion is like a virus, it is clear that all these ancient 'holy' books are full of superstition and hearsay ...

we should be in charge of our own destiny and fate. God is just a guide towards your goals...
