I used to have to chase my dog around the basement if she got lose, then lure her into my room with treats, and it got so bad it i had to brush my teeth, use the bathroom, or wash my face, i would just pick her up and carry her with me. Every time i had to open the door!

But latley when i get up and start walkin twords my door, she might move her head to see, buts thats it! She stays on my bed, to test her i left the door open a little once and she doesnt move!
When i tried going to sleep a few hours ago, she just came in and layd down on my bed beside me!

Why has she suddenly behaved? she hasnt gotten in the trash, and shes more cuddly!

Well I guess it depends on how old she is. And you can teach a new dog, new tricks. If she doesnt like being carried everywhere she may have figured out her behavior wasnt going to do anything good for her. Dogs are smart and perceptive. I say give the dog some credit is all. But dont treat your dogs bad behavior. Firm discipline is the way to training a good dog. And not abuse, just be firm and always follow through!

maybe because she has grown out of it, depending on the age, my pets outgrew their fun and games and are much more serious now. my pets are exactly the same, or maybe she might be old and tired, and just up for some relaxation. now if she was staying in her bed 24/7 or always incredibly tired, then you have a problem. that could indicate digestional problems. and if she comes to you with will then there might be something wrong and that might indicate she isnt feeling wel. check her poop and pee, see if it appears normal or if its a different colour to make sure if she is still eating well, or drnking enough. I hope this helps.

Several possibilities here. Your dog may be maturing and losing that wild streak. Your chasing her down and bringing her back, may have resulted in some unintentional training. Dogs are really sensitive and smart.
Be glad that she has matured into a lovable pet.

So the problem is??? It sounds like your dog is settled in and comfortable. As long it eats and drinks and plays once in a while shes happy and content. Don't worry about her. By the way my Lab's name is Daisy... You got a problem with that missy!!?? :-)

I don't really understand where you speak of all of the hygiene etiquette relating to chasing your dog, but it sounds like to me she is getting the idea of what you want from her and she is tired of losing the chase.

I think she is finally getting the picture and has learned what is expected of her. Just remember to reward the behavior you want. And keep correcting her when she doesn't do what is expected.

Continued good luck to you both!

Shes starting to realize what you want her to do. You should be proud that she learned that. my pup still chases cars if given half a chance.

She knows her boundaries with you. You have trained her to stay in your room unless you invite her out or take her out on your own. Good job.

she is growing up and starting to feel secure in her enviroment. before she was new and that is why she didn't listen and was always checking things out, making sure she didn't miss anything.
