In the words "I Believe", ego puts the emphasis on "I" and faith puts it on "Believe".
Wait! That's not right! Faith and belief are mutually exclusive. Let's try "I have faith". Then we subtract the "I have" and leave just "faith".
But most people probably can't do that. In fact, I'm not sure anyone can. So how about, "Faith is nothing to be proud of"?
Nah. Too obscure. Wait! I've got it!!!! How about this: "He's got faith". So we've gotten rid of the ego from the very beginning. Then we admit that he was imaginary so that there is faith, but no self whatsoever that can claim it.
Although I must admit I am curious about the imaginary he we had for a moment. I liked him. I'd like to be him and have faith. But then there'd be a me, an ego, who was having the faith.
I give up. I don't know how to not have an ego and still be here or for anything to exist to me when me is gone. No! Wait!! Here's the real answer! I will have faith in me to be other than the ego. I will exist as the experiencer who is not defined. A subject, not an object. Faith!!!!

No, ego if it is properly understood is self awareness which hopefully everyone has, to be human is to have ego. If your thinking in terms of egotistical behavior, yes, Jesus was about as humble as any man who ever lived, he never owned a home, had a family, He was mocked and attacked by many yet never lashed out. Jesus is our example to follow. You will find egotistical Christians, but the egotism is a fault.

Ego is the enemy of knowledge . faith withiout knoledge is like man withiout brain. . Faith should be in matters and truths you are convinced .Blind faith is folly. Faith based on knowledge and reason is wisdom, tha tis he highest of discipline. If the is ego there is ignorance .
to have fi9th without ego ,you must know the truth .wher the is truth , there is no ego and faith will be wise .
So when faith without wisdom itself is ego wher is the possiblity of having faith withiout ego? confusing ? It is blind faith that leads to / gives birth to ego.

Ego is the part that knows you are. Without it you would not have free will. No free wil no faith.

I think it's when surrender and gratitude and humility come into play that we can let go of ego.
Easier said than done sometimes.

Basically they are not inter connected whether one has ego or not he can or can't have faith. faith is something you believe strongly and can not be dettered easily. belief can change but not faith.
