Brains. Do not open e-mail you not know, when you win the European Lottery do not click the link. Do not download free stuff, it not free, nothing free, hell, people so stupid to think something free. That about it, seems to work fairly well.

If you want the best for free, I use a free edition of AVG. It works real good and doesn't take up as much space as Nortin. Has firewall protection and email scanner too. I think its the best for free.
