I hate a serious problem with bingeing. I spend so much money on food when I'm bingeing, and sometimes I binge on my roommate's food. I can't do that anymore. It's not fair for me to binge on someone else's food.
y question is: do you think it's better for me to buy ramen ($1 for 10) to binge on when I feel like bingeing? If I'm going to binge, I might as well make it a better deal for my wallet. Or should I not buy any, and hope that over time, I will stop bingeing? The problem is that I'm poor, and I don't want to risk wasting any money bingeing on expensive food. I don't know what is better for me...spending a lot of money, feeling stressed (money stresses me out more than my eating disorder) or the problem of always having the binge food there...

One, it really hurt me when one person suggested this question was a joke.
Two, I have gotten help. I had to take a medical leave of absence last semester. I went to a specialized eating disorders program and everything. I will also be seeing a counselor at my university as a condition to my return.
I'm working on it, but just want suggestions on what to do along the way...

Get some help, because although therapy is expensive, it is nothing compared to the health bills you will have to suffer through once you have caused serious damage to your teeth, asophogus, stomach, and pancreas.

Well, I understand the want to binge (boy, do I). But consider this--by bingeging on carbs and/or sugar, I have caused myself a problem called reactive hypoglycemia. Trust me, you don't want it.
You could try bingeing on low-carb or whole grain foods to lessen the chance of this happening. Or perhaps gulp some protein drinks so you won't be hungry (I am trying out this theory lately). Or have you tried asking the doc for medications such as Topamax or Zonegran? I take Topamax and adjust the dosage when I feel that I am going back into binge mode again. Topamax has some nasty side effects, but it is used "off-label" just for this purpose. I take a fairly low dose of 65 mg or so (I cut the pills in pieces).

You need to go to a doctor and soon!! Please! By binging and purging you are on the road to serious health problems, if you don't have them already.
Spending your money on expensive food should be the least of your worries, you need to get medical help, now. We all have stress, it's part of the world today, and there are better ways of dealing with it than binging!
Take care of yourself, get some help.

You want things to do. A nutritionist told me about this. 1) Take 2000 mg of CLA, 2000 mg of Omega 3 small fish oil, 800 mg of lecithin, drink a glass of orange, apple or grape juice 1st thing in the morning. Followed by 6 fiber capsules of 100% psyllium fiber with 18 oz of water or a glass of Metamucil Lunch and supper should mostly be vegetables or salad IE tuna salad. if you need to, you can take the Metamucil or fiber capsules 3 times a day.. Also take 2000 mg of Omega 3 small fish oil again in the afternoon. Eat 2 -3 fruits a day as snacks. CLA is found in the vitamin section.

What is the reason you are binging? I bet you are a beautiful young lady but perhaps no one ever told you that. I know you mentioned that you got help but maybe it's time to find some aggressive help that is going to change your lifestlye. Try to get over this. Good luck!

The best thing is to eat 3 meals per day. When you allow yourself to skip meals, you set yourself up for a binge.

Not encouraging your behavior at all...but no one can help you until you're ready to help yourself. Jus telling you popcorn is pretty good too. Less calories babe. Take care of yourself though. Sending you hugs.
