perhaps you have always been perfect and so they have just come to expect this from you because they know that you will always do well. You make them proud deep down even though they may not show it.

Your doing the right thing but some people have problems with showing or telling how they feel and maybe this is the case with ur mom and dad..and even if they dont tell u allways do whats right in ur heart and never worry about someone else cause in the end u will be the only person that makes u happy

I am sure they notice. I'm also sure that they are convinced you are so independent that you don't need their constant attention or reassurance too. Parents are funny that way. I have five children and my oldest son accused me of that a few years back. In all honesty, I didn't even realize I was doing it until he pointed it out. Talk to your parents honey, they sound like they raised a pretty good kid, I'm sure they would be willing to listen and fix whatever the problem is.

Maybe they are proud and happy with you, but are not thinking that you would like to hear this. Parents get into their own day to day ruts and don't always remember to praise when they are lucky enough to have a really great kid. I would ask them for a "family meeting" and let them know you are sad that they never give you any feedback, and it makes you feel like they don't care.

I was never as good as you but know exactly how you feel. My parents were the same. Do everything for yourself. Don't try to make them happy. Just be happy within you for you by you. They may never realize their mistake. Forgive them, release them, free yourself.

Well it seems that the problem is clearly with them and not with your achievements! Perhaps they arent the type to be vocal about it, but I'm sure they are.

you sound depressed.
I suggest you have an open and frank discussion with you parents and see if you can come to a better understanding of each other.
I'm certain they would be shocked to know that you think they are not proud of you.

You must be Asian. Asian parents are hard to please. The only way to make them proud is after you graduate from college, make $millions, and buy them a new house.
