His size may tell you. He could be just a great hunter and was raised outside by a mama that was a great hunter. Or he may have a wild cat in his blood line and it just showed up stronger in him. Be careful because the wild ones cannot be thouroughly trusted!

Its normal for both dogs and cats do get in heat, In my opinion you shouldn't neuter him until he starts humping you like a retarded German Shepard (Pardon if I sound rude.) If it gets to be a big problem, I suppose you find something to do. And I suggest you do not let him out of the house. My girl-cat got pregnant by some random cat, and when she had babies they were so cute, but no matter what we did they died in their sleep. Dont risk letting kittens die. Oh by the way, it may take a while to get over, but he should clear up the heat issues hes having in a while.

Sounds like a normal cat - keep him in for a while, neuter soon, and Do Not Declaw. If you let your cat roam you must be prepared for all outcomes - cats fight to the death much more than dogs you know. Get him some stuffed animals to beat up.

A cat is an animal. Cats are natural hunters.

Maybe you need to spend more time with him and pet him and domesticate him a bit more.
If left a lot to their own devices they rely on their original nature.
