Just be practicle with your dreams but don't be afraid to take a risk. Your life is full of risks but it is up to you to make them good bets and keep the chance of failure to a minimum. If you can't do that, don't take them.

wow. Sounds like ur a middle child. You say you're being FORCED, PRESSURED, and you might FAIL, and WHAT IF?
You need to do what you want to do. What is inside you is the writer. So what if you fail?? At least you tried! Do you want to go through life wishing you tried but didn't? Or go through life trying, and MAYBE you will not FAIL!!!
And you will NOT fail if you really want to write. You may have problems, setbacks, whatever. But genius is not made in a day. Go for it. I want you to WRITE! And get rid of your miserable comforters. Or, hehe, if it's your wife, then she needs to come up and back you! And make the sacrifice needed to make you succeed! 'Behind every successful man, is a woman!' You will be okay, but if you do not TRY and TRY and TRY, you will always forever be miserable. And, it will wreck your family eventually. Call me if you need support!

you dont have to give up everything to be a writer
i suggest you take one path and start writing on the side, that way if/when you do get published and your work is successful, you know you can drop everything and become a writer without as much risk
normally i would say pursue your dream, but if you are solely a writer, you would be broke, the whole starving artist bit

The more responsibility you have, the harder it will be to pursue your dreams.
However, writing is one thing you can do "on the side" while being "responsible" If you have talent and can produce good work, perhaps you can get published. If you have several successes and it brings in a reasonable income you can justify becoming "professional"

I would pursue my dreams - even if it meant giving up the material treasures I possess. I would not give up the relationships - they are invaulable.
Every person should go for their dreams and give it their best shot - never live life with regrets of "might have been" !

Can't you pursue the other course and write in your spare time? That way, if you are good and produce some decent work, you can quit this "different course" andfollow the more lucrative one.

You cannot risk everything, if your dreams are in accordance with God's plan. If you follow God's plan, no matter what you do, you are assured food and clothing. March forth without fear.
You're assured food and clothing in jail too, but come on, you know what I mean. Trying to be inspirational here people...

go ahead and take the risk.
i don't even consider that a risk at all. if you're gonna finish your course in writing, you're adding a highlight on your list of achievements in life. you'll surely get a better work with better position after that.

Money isn't success. Achieving your goals in life is success and the only sure way to fail is to never try.
What good is money if you are miserable?
