I like the way you worded the question, it makes the assumption that they are all cult-like and there must be one that does it the worst.
All religions are cults.
Anything or anyone who tries to control your thinking is a cult.
Faith is so much more solid than religion.

I grew up with parents that wanted me to learn as much as I could about any and all religions that I could be exposed to. They felt it was healthier to teach a child their options and let them choose their own path. I have gone to churches galore and studied tons of others. I am now a wanna be philosophies student. Working on it for the winter term. i think the weirdest thing I have ever seen was a Sunday morning at a protestant church. They were jumping, screaming, crying, getting touched on the forehead and falling down. It might work for some but it scared me. It reminded me of the movies I've seen about the religious cults. I am not condemning anyone that goes to that sort of church or that feels that makes them closer to Christ but it wasn't for me.
Most religions, even if they seem barbarian or odd to some of us, are the cultural right for those that are part of them. Good question.

All of them. Religions all started as cults didn't they? I guess the less logic/ more extremism. All new religions get called cults, the older the better?

Well they are all cults, however I would say that the religion which isolates you the most from society/humanity is the worst cult. Example: that freak Jim Jones.

I think that fundamental Baptist churches are very cult-like. I grew up going to one, and they tell you that you are going to go to hell if you don't believe what they believe (which is steeped in hate and fear)...even if you are a child. They are always talking about the "little sinners" in the nursery!!!!! Also, if you turn your back on the church, as I did, you stand a good chance of losing your family and friends - as I did. It has taken me twelve years to de-program myself, and I am not finished yet! If you would like an example of this, read some quotes from Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, etc...very scary!

Really, every religion is a cult. Some are just bigger than others.

The smaller religions are called cults. The bigger ones are supposedly not.

Define cult. In my opinion 'Cult' is a derogatory title placed upon a religous group whom one disagrees with the doctorines.

I've been to a Christian church on a day of communion. When they started passing out those little cups of "wine" (grape juice in reality) and crackers I couldn't help but think I had stumbled into some sort of cult.
