The easiest answer to your question is which one is right for your lifestyle. All of them are good breeds to have but each breed is different. Unfortunately the one's you have picked are all VERY high maintenance and require alot of attention and grooming, not including excercise. Huskies are very active and LOVE to dig, if they get loose the can run for miles and because they are so high strung they require constant training. The same goes for Malamutes. Poodles are very intelligent and catch on quick, but again you are looking at a huge grooming bill, not to mention they have alot of problems as they get older. My personal suggestion if you want a small dog is to get a teacup chihuahua. If you want a larger dog is would highly suggest getting a boxer. The are pretty maintenance free, and you'd never find a more loving and almost clownish family member. But remember you can't just stick them out in a yard and forget about them, wherever you are that is where they want to be. Good Luck in your quest.

I ended up getting a Golden Retriever a few months ago and have been pretty happy. Really friendly happy dog. I almost got a husky but had talked with about 3 people with them that said the breed can be commonly territorial at times. That's prob not true with all of the dogs, but I just wanted a pup that I wouldn't feel I had to watch over

You are obviously choosing dogs on looks and fluffiness. Shelties are herding dogs and are quite smart. Huskies and Mals are extremely high energy and very intelligent. They are working dogs. They will howl, dig, and shed profusely. Not to mention that they need a lot of mental and physical exercise. And I hope that your fence is supe secure because they are also escape artists.
Poms would probably be the best choice if you are looking for a less demanding breed.

I'd go with the Pomeranian. I'm a toy breed fan, personally, but remember that toys are not outside dogs. The Husky or Malamute would also be nice...but definitely NOT if you live in a hot climate and plan on putting them out in the summer sun.

They are all very cute, decide according to your lifestyle what fits best. Most large dogs need lots of room, some must herd something, sheep dogs, border collies.Small dogs need less room, eat less some bark ,they live longer" It is something you must think a lot about before you get that sweet ball of fur. There is a dog out there just for you and only you will know him. All the best , having a dog is very rewarding and fun. Definitely work too but worth it. We have three small silky-pins 9 months old and they are incredible. Once I only had large dogs but these little guys fit life now, hope that helps ~A~

They're all cute but you have to get one that suits you or the entire family he will live with. A big fenced back yard isn't a factor here because huge dogs are hard to have inside the house while small cute dogs are better suited indoors. Assess the living conditions of your entire house and what your family expects of the dog and what you expect of the dog. Also, take one that suits your budget as well. The bigger they are, the more expensive they are to feed and take care of.

Well if you want to keep it in the back yard, the Pomeranian isn't the best choice because those are typically indoor dogs. Siberian huskies are good dogs, as are poodles. All of these seem like good choices, research into what they tend to be like and pick one which best fits your habits/personality.Good luck!

Pomeranian

My answer would depend on whether you want an active dog, plan on keeping the dog outside, how high is your fence, Do you mind shedding, how much grooming you want involved, how much training are you willing to give, what qualities you want or expect in a dog, etc...getting a dog for looks rather than what you need/want in a dog is usually what lands a dog in my rescue!

I hope you dont plan on leaving the dog in the backyard, if you do I say dont get a dog at all !

But if you plan on letting it in your house and giving it love and attention .... I would say Malamute. I love Malamutes... I have one, theyre the sweetest dogs .... theyr jus playful and happy all the time , and they love everyone
