In my place are buried Alexander and Maria Erna von Strachvitz, they had a castle in Wierzbie, they build the church here and set a huge farming place with gardens and forest parks.
My friend is writing a book about the history of my place and I thought I could help him;)))

did you try to go along your genealogy tree? Is it possible you are related to the one who lived in Wierzbie?

This appears to be Polish. I could not find any information until I changed the V to a W. The sites in the sources provide information on Wierzbie and the von Strachwitz family (in Polish)

It would seem that this is in the German partition of Poland, since the passenger lists show the origin as Germany:

Name Arrival Date Estimated Birth Year Gender Port of Departure Place of Origin Ship Name
Ernst Count Strachwitz 17 Jun 1937 abt 1880 Male Bremen, Germany Germany Europa
Friederike Graefin Strachwitz 02 Mar 1936 abt 1907 Female Bremen, Germany Germany Bremen
Alexander Graf Strachwitz 02 Mar 1936 abt 1895 Male Bremen, Germany Germany Bremen
Rudolf Graf Strachwitz 05 Nov 1936 abt 1896 Male Bremen, Germany USA Europa
Friederike Strachwitz 17 May 1938 abt 1907 Female Bremen, Germany Germany Europa
Ginde Strachwitz 20 Apr 1872 abt 1832 Male Hamburg, Germany Germany Electric
Gunther Strachwitz 8 Nov 1880 abt 1851 Male Hamburg, Germany Preußen Vandalia

Hey ywe,

There are some non-English sites, Yahoo did a translation. Both are provided below.

strangly no family research sites, unless you add an R to the name.
