I paint houses as part of my contract work, but I don't strictly charge by the sq. ft.

Certainly in years of experience, I've gained enough knowledge to know not only what is fair to the customer, but fair to myself as well.

I charge by the hour and/or base my bids on the size of the house, but also on any difficulty factors,,,IE: The amount of prep, foliage that has to be cared about, the height of a house, any painting to be done over sections of roof, special equipment I might have to rent, and any additional help I might have to bring into the job. My fees can be as low as $25 per hour and have been as high as $60 per hour, and I never bid a job at less than 40 hours.

It also depends on where, and what that particular market will bear, my commutes, or long distance travel (which I do) to and from a job site. Then there are homeowners associations or historic district housing that has to be taken into account.

I'll list some examples of homes I've painted, and the charges.

2 bedroom mobile home, bid @ $20 per hour x 40 hours,,,usually finished in 20.

1200 to 2000 sq. ft. house,,, 2500 to 4000

I painted a 4 story cement sided house in Seattle for $6000, using spray, and a $250 a day lift. The job was complete in a week.

So many honest factors go into bidding a price,,, although it's not Rocket Science.

some effective subtle mendacity here - solid task. Now permit's look on the actuality. a million. word the way the preliminary talk of CGT is precise, yet then a speedy sleight of hand tells people "in case you're heading in the direction of retirement and can desire to down-length your place or flow right into a retirement community, 28% of the money you're making out of your place will flow to taxes." no longer 28% of the capital benefit (that's actual) yet 28% of the "funds you're making advertising your place" (that's certainly a bare confronted lie. 2. "The experts anticipate that "greater tax expenditures on dividends and capital valuable aspects might crash the inventory marketplace yet do truthfully no longer something to decrease the deficit." - yet of direction no longer one professional is named - calling your self an expert and then quoting your self is tremendously cheesy behaviour - placed lipstick on a pit - it extremely is nevertheless a pig my pal. 3. Clinton has suggested she would be waiting to objective to opposite tax cuts for under those earning 250k/year or greater. So for sure examples approximately 30k are intentionally deceptive. 4. Inheritance tax - it is the final lie. Pretending McCain's advice is the no exchange. The regulation states that the valuables tax will return in 2011. it extremely is the way it presently is - McCain's coverage isn't the no exchange one. As for households dropping farms and so on - if "many" have- why are you no longer able to offer any information of even one. it'd be tremendously no longer straightforward because of the fact the regulation states the family house is exempt. The belongings tax because it become final 12 months affected 2% of all estates - no longer often robbing mom and pa of thier farms. because it extremely is going to return in 2011 (the actual no exchange situation) it extremely is going to exempt the 1st million funds. So formerly the undesirable youngsters might desire to drop out of school and flow beg on the streets because of the uncaring government taxing thier abode (which the regulation says it won't) - they get to stay on the 1st a million funds TAX loose.

It all depends on who is doing the painting. But make sure that you have the painter do thorough prep work, including pressure washing, scraping, sanding, priming, and covering the surroudings. I paid about $2,000 to get my 1,800 sq.ft. home in California painted, but I now wish I had paid a little bit more to have some one do proper prep.
