I prefer Jim Beam for a few reasons. I have had it more so I suppose I'm more accustomed to it. Jack Daniels was 90 proof or so a few years back, now it is 80 proof and yet they still claim, even when questioned about this, (I have asked them) that their recipe has not changed in however many years, during which time the proof changed. As there hasn't been a change in the measuring of proof that I am aware of and the other beverages didn't change, I highly doubt that is the case. Proof doesn't magically change either, so this leads me to believe that the recipe has changed somehow and they aren't telling me how. If I can't trust them on what is in it, I damn sure am not drinking it. Other than that, I'm a Kentucky boy, and Jim Beam is a Bourbon, so I am a bit partial, not that the TN sour mash is bad, I just don't trust it.

Oh yeah, I also prefer the taste and Jim is cheaper.
The guy above me is getting me to want some more Turkey though.

Well, I know what Hank Williams Jr. would say but I am a southern man and Jack Black is good sippin.' Straight on the rocks is the way I drink it. It's cured in sugar pine barrels and the sugar pine gives it the distinct sweet flavor. If I wanted a hard taste I would go with Old Granddad or Early Times which is much better then Jim Beam in my book.

Jack Daniels because that is the drink you ask for first and if they dont have it Jim Bean is just a substitute for cheaper cost and taste. Jim Bean brings on disappointment when you can't have JD. What Would you do for Jack Daniels :)?

Jack Daniels because it is filtered slower. Takes out the fire and keeps in the warmth.

Neither One ! For Liquor to be good, it's got to be Flammable, like My Avatar ! Put a Flame to those Wimpy Whiskeys ! No Ignition ! Now, take some Wild Turkey, 101 Proof, 50.5 % Alcohol and it will Burn, Baby, Burn !
