Word document is opening, but excel is not opening.. giving error as excel.exe not found....I tried with installing fresh MS-Office once again... but problem is same...

Try this
- Open Excel from Start menu
- Then open the file you want
- If this works, the problem is in the association of XLS files with Excel
- If it is still can not open Excel.exe then I guess you need to uninstall the current Office (Do not install over) and make sure you removed every thing, then Install it again.

Uninstall the present one, and try a different version of MS-Office

try to install office 2003
