I am a "curvy" white girl living in Kansas and I get asked out by African guys (actually from Africa) about as often as I get asked out by white guys. What is up with that?

Maybe it's just as simple as these men find you attractive. A lot of times people will be attracted to opposites or people who look different than they do. It's exotic. As for the curvy thing, don't all men like that, regardless?
But more than likely, it is just as it is with anything else, an individual thing, and you just happen to be what these men find attractive. I hope you're not complaining!
What I find strange is that you are in Kansas and have that many African Citizens there.
I live in the San Francisco area and can't say that I know of many African citizens in this area, and we are definitely a melting pot in this area. I didn't realize that Kansas' population was so diverse. Way to go Kansas!

You are probably just "curvy" to your own race. To an African you are probably just average size or "healthy". Or maybe you are just cute and there are a lot of Africans in Kansas!

Well, there are a lot of caucasian people in Africa, especially South Africa, and most African men like fluffy females, it represents wealth, nourishment, well-to-do. I don't personally think it's an epidemic, but maybe you look similar to a sistah.

Seriously, certain men are attracted to certain body types. Also you have to imagine that you are just as exotic to them as they are to you...growing up seeing nothing but people who look, act, and think just like you do gets old. They fantasize about this stuff from way back in the day...trust me, I went ot school with a ton of these guys!!

sometimes in African culture woman of...uh larger...curvier...proportions are considered to be more beautiful. they seem them as being more healthy and will be able to handle multiple child bearings. hah. or hell maybe they just like you. :)
