I got the uniden whole house system, I got my extensions at staples for only 36. dollars....I had stated out with the base phone which is by the computer and then got the extensions one at the time for all the other rooms...put the new phone in the cradle of the base phone and transfer all the phone numbers to the new phone..

Depends on what "bells and whistles" you want or have now. The "twisted pair" system is just a daisy chain, so adding another phone, be it corded or cordless is just a case of plugging it in. If you have a "Brothers" type system with multiple line buttons etc. then it can only be installed as an extension.

IS YOUR EXISTING SYSTEM UNIDEN? IF SO GO TO THE STORE AND BUY A HANDSET. IF NOT GO TO THE STORE AND BUY A UNIDEN BASE STATION.
