Most Rare Disease
The most rare disease is smallpox. In May 1978, the World Health Organization registered zero cases in the previous six months worldwide.
But if you are based on no of occurance of the disease then its got to be "fields condition". It happens to 1 in 1.5 billion people. Only 2 person has been diagnosed with this problem.
The disease name is named after the patients name. Refer to news below.
Twins have rarest disease in world!
Catherine and Kirstie Fields from Llanelli suffer from a neuromuscular disease, which has been dubbed Fields condition.
Experts from as far afield as America have been stumped as parents Lyn and Chris watched two apparently healthy babies deteriorate until they could no longer stand unaided.
Now 11, the girls need walking frames and spend a lot of their time in wheelchairs.
And because the condition is apparently unique, even the experts are unable to predict what will happen next.

A friend of mine's son has some sort of neurological disease that the doctors have not been able to diagnose. He is about 8 years old. There is no other person with this disease so maybe this is the rarest disease. There is no name for it but in the future they will probably name the disease after him.

One of the oldest puzzles in biology is being solved by research into one of the world’s rarest diseases.
The disorder is known as von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease and occurs when blood vessels grow uncontrollably and form tight knots that can damage surrounding tissue. Caused by an error in a single gene, the disease is known to affect one in 35,000 people worldwide, or just over 6,000, total, in the United States.

Not sure, but the one where the person has 2 sets of DNA in the body sure is strange.(forgot what it's called) Anyway, a lady was accused of stealing her own kids, when her DNA didn't match theirs. Turns out they tested the DNA from her thyroid and it matched. They said it's because at early development she had a twin that merged with her embryo which made her have 2 DNA types in her body.

I don't know. But there is a rare genetic disorder where your brain doesn't tell you that you are full and should stop eating. You just gain weight and eat and eat and eat. Very sad.
