you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Well first of all, just because your friends think you are fat, is not a good reason to lose weight. You should only lose weight because you want to otherwise you will not be motivated to lose the weight and keept it off for good.
Secondly, I don't know what your friends mean by 'fat'. If by fat, it means you are not a size 2, then please, please ignore them and be happy as you are. If on the other hand, they are just trying to help and you are slightly overweight, then as long as it's something you want to do, by all means, go ahead.
The best way to lose weight, is to eat healthily and exercise regularly. I don't know how old you are, but I would say, start by reducing your calories to 1,500 per day and exercise for at least 1-2 hours per week, doing a combination of both cardio and body toning exercises.
By the way if, you are over 5ft4, you would not be overweight at 145lb.

cut back on portions. regular exercise and a healthy low fat diet. Remember whatever you do needs to be someting you can live with the rest of your life. Fad diets don't work they just work for a spell and then when you quit doing them you gain back the weight plus more. If you haven't been exercising start out slow and increase gradually. Walking in my opion is the best way. Good luck! Also don't let your friends influnce you. Talk to you doctor and find out if you are over weight and the best plan for you. Remember just because they say you are fat doesn't make it so!!!

It depends on how tall you are. If I was 145 pounds as tall as I am I would be so skinny. I would look like a cambodian.
Anyway...Drink lots of water. In a bottle is easiest. If you eat less or stop eating. Your going to store fat, and shut down your metabolism. So..whatever you do..."Dont starve yourself" plus your going to end up bindging!!! Eating everything that's not good for you! Drink only one soda a day if you enjoy regular pop.."I hate diet myself"...but sugar free Kool-Aid is Awesome! Fill up on Salad when you go out to eat...and if you go to fast food...pick healthy fast food. Like "Wendys...you can have a chicken salad with a baked potato!!! Yummy!!! Always give yourself that one thing you love! Like..Cherry Cheesecake! Once in a great while...just don't self indulge..meaning...eating the whole darn thing!!! It is easy to diet...its not hard at all...but you have to eat too lose weight and keep it off...and exercise at least 30 minutes per day..at least 3 times per week...15 min at a time twice is fine! You can still lose weight without exercise...but it won't stay off as long!!! "Do not forget your water"!!!

First of all I too think you must be Fat. There are many ways to loose excess body weight.
Reduce / Stop on all your Junk food intake. Eat food with low oil and cholestrol,fats etc.
I would advice you to do YOGA. Its the best possible thing to reduce your weight. Need any help on Yoga techniques, then please do write back

how old are you? how tall are you? do u feel fat? do u get out of breath walking or running short distances? maybe your friends should worry about themselves. walk and eat healthy food and you should be fine! read some fitness books like Body for Life and it will give you some valuable information. If you're young remember to get plenty of sleep and drink a lot of water. keep yourself busy and tell your friends to think about something else. Like maybe helping someone feel good instead of judging. Good luck and be good to yourself! Eating every two to three hours and including protein in every meal will help you feel full and will help your muscles grow! :)

the best way to lose weigth is to eat at the right time...
because of the compensatory response of the body you take whats lacking.. same as sleep.. when you sleep late last night.. your body will ask for a payback the next time you sleep...
just like your tummy.. when you skipped meal, your digestive system will continue to command the brain to excrete stimulating hormones that can make you feel hungry until you eaten enough...
so the best way is to eat on time.. and also avoid eating plenty during night time.. coz no activity is being done during sleep so meaning slow metabolism will took place.
"eat several times a day, but in small amount"

if you don't feel your fat don't listen to them be how you want to be but if you want to really loose weight try going to curves that and weight watchers are the best to really loose weight been there and done it great results.

ok your can try the drug way or you can try something a lil more safer.. cal. count i use too be 161 but i stop eatin candy ,,junk food i ate 800cal a day n on fri 1000 no more no less i lose 20pounds in 2 month

you can start by dropping them.But your weight is based on your height,not on what society thinks you should look like to fit in.since you didnt mention your height I cant say if your too big.But you'll feel better if you get some friends that are less judgemental
