all you have to do is go to yahoo and click on yahoo answers. the button is at the top left of the page

There are two ways. First, once you are logged into Yahoo answers all you have to do is to up to your Yahoo tool bar (if you have one) and click on "Mail".
Second, you can do as I do, and just open up a second window. That way you can go back and forth, and also look up stuff for Yahoo answers without leaving the page.

Click on "Yahoo" at the top of the screen, right below the address bar. It takes you back to Yahoo. Then click on Yahoo Answers.

I had that prob. for the first two days after I changed to yahoo for home page. It doe's fine now with out doing any thing to change it.

Make sure Cookies are enabled in your browser's security section. Make sure yahoo.com isn't being blocked.
You may be asked to enter your password again when posting for a first time in a session even if you were already logged in, you can't get around this, though.
