I think so! I'm getting married January 6th.

Seriously, though, the weather can be iffy. Especially depending on your location. However, generally there is less of a fight for vendors in January than in the summer months. Plus, how better to start a new year than with a new life?

A big upside to getting married in January is that it isn't "wedding season." Between that and the fact that all the major holidays have passed, you should have an easier time booking a reception site and getting some great deals on photography, music, etc.

Flowers might be your biggest obstacle. (Well, other than the weather.) You might want to go to a florist and find out what is in season in January in order to avoid some hefty flower costs.

In my honest opinion, any month that you choose for what what ever reasons you choose it will be a good month to marry. Marriage isn't about a month, a day, a time, or a year, its about you and the love of your life, making a commitment in front of many people and GOD too for some people. An open Vow to love that person with your whole heart and soul and that person doing the same for you.

I think that February would be a better month, because January is kind of a cold month, But if you want to get married in January, that's cool too. I wish you the best of luck. Remember to discuss that question with your fiance.

Absolutely! I got married at the end of December and really had a great time! We saved a ton of money by getting married at an "off" time. Plus we did a "winter wonderland" color theme of ivory and baby blue. Turned out great!

Sure. In the cold of winter, maybe you can find some snow and cozy up to a fire...It's perfect for winding down once the holidays are over-the stress of the holidays will be all gone and you can really enjoy each other!!! Sounds very romantic to me. It doesn't always have to be during the spring.
