Candy apples:
Buy apples. I suggest green apples. Buy caramel ( try looking for either jars or Smucker bottle kind) and/ or chocolate.
If you are using chocolate, 5 giant bars should be enough for at least 3 large apples. A jar of caramel is enough for 3, too, like the Smuckers kind.
Melt the chocolate in a pot. stir so it is smooth. add 1/2 cup of milk while stirring. Stir till completely brown.
Dip apple in chocolate. Add nuts, sprinkles, or candy. Choose whatever you want.
If you are using caramel, you may warm up the caramel, but DO NOT ADD ANYTHING. The fire should be at 7 or 8, and heat chocolate until it melts. Or the caramel till it's steaming.
Place apple on a cookie sheet or tin foil. allow to cool for at least 15 mins. Enjoy!

for chewy bars, make lots of cookie dough and pack it in a cake pan, bake it, and then cut it into bars.
for candy apples, just take a nice apple and make some hot caramel or melt chocolate and dip the apple in it. You can buy red candy apple mix in the grocery store.

Candied Apples
Ingredients
12 red delicious apples
12 wooden ice-cream sticks
4-1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon red food coloring
1-1/2 cups water
1 cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
Grease a large cookie sheet and set aside. Wash and dry the apples. Insert a stick through the stem of each, leaving about 2 inches of the stick for gripping.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, corn syrup, food coloring, and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until the ingredients are dissolved and the liquid boils.
Set a candy thermometer in the mixture and continue cooking, without stirring, until the temperature reaches 290 degrees F., in about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, place the chopped peanuts in a bowl.
Remove the syrup from the heat and dip the apples, one by one, to coat evenly. Work quickly so the sauce doesn't harden. As you finish dipping an apple, roll it around in the peanuts to coat evenly. Then set each down on the prepared cookie sheet. Let the apples cool for at least an hour before placing on a platter to serve.
